Job summary

Apex Retail Pte Ltd is hiring a Senior Finance Executive to oversee daily financial operations, AR/AP management, and assist with month-end and year-end closings in Singapore.

You will ensure compliance with GST, CPF, MOM and other statutory requirements, and provide financial planning and analysis to support cost optimisations and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore payroll, CPF and MOM regulations.
• Experience managing audits and financial reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB) or equivalents.
• Demonstrated leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Retail sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts: GL, AR, AP.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
• Support month-end/year-end closing, variance analysis, audit schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, payment processing (GIRO, wire, PayNow).
• Track and reconcile vendor invoices and staff expenses.
• Ensure GST, corporate tax and statutory filings are accurate.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, secretarial vendors and banks.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and tracking departmental expenses.
• Monitor operating costs, overheads and lease commitments.
• Streamline finance workflows and implement internal controls.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Executive to manage daily financial operations, manage accounts payable and receivable, assist with month-end and year-end closing, ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations, and provide financial planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, P&L reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in compliance with accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, variance analysis, and audit schedules
• Monitor cash flow, handle bank reconciliations, and manage payment processing (including GIRO, wire transfers, and PayNow transactions)
• Track and reconcile vendor invoices, corporate card expenses, and staff reimbursements
• Ensure accurate and timely computation and filing of GST, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial vendors, and financial institutions as required
• Assist management in preparing annual budgets, forecasting, and tracking departmental expenses
• Monitor operating costs, overheads, and rental/lease commitments to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Streamline finance workflows, implement internal control procedures, and adopt digital tools or accounting software upgrades to enhance operational efficiency

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
