Job summary

AllwaysFirst is seeking a Senior Field Support Engineer to lead installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades of semiconductor test equipment at customer sites in Singapore. The role acts as the primary technical escalation point and mentors the FSE team.

Responsibilities include leading PM activities, coordinating repairs, and ensuring documentation accuracy and uptime during major downtime events. Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor test equipment.
• Strong preventive maintenance and lifecycle management skills.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Our client is a leading provider of semiconductor test solutions, specializing in advanced testing equipment and technologies that support semiconductor manufacturing and high-performance electronics industries.

The Senior Field Support Engineer (FSE) leads installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of semiconductor test equipment at customer sites. The role serves as the primary technical lead, escalation point, and mentor for the FSE team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and sustaining maintenance activities; review and improve PM procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, alarms, and tool-down situations with minimal production impact.
• Oversee component/TIM replacement and RMA activities for complex cases.
• Lead equipment installation, conversion, upgrade, relocation, and de-installation projects.
• Maintain accurate service records and drive documentation improvements.
• Act as the key technical escalation contact and lead communication during major downtime events.
• Mentor and train FSEs, support onboarding, and drive technical knowledge transfer.
