Job summary

Swisslog in Singapore is seeking a CS Engineer to join our Customer Service / Helpdesk and field service team. You will provide on-site maintenance and technical support for automated material handling systems.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical/electrical/controls engineering, at least 3 years of field support experience with PLCs and SCADA, and willingness to work standby/odd hours. Proactive, customer-focused.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of field service/maintenance experience.
Experience with PLC control systems (Siemens, Beckhoff), SCADA, EtherCat/Profinet/Profibus/TCPIP protocols.
Proactive with a strong customer and team focus.

Responsibilities

Provide regular on-site inspection and maintenance.
Must try to recover the system in the shortest reasonable time.
Must respond to customers’ concerns and complaints in an adequate manner.
Must have a sense for customer’s requirements and proactive thinking to turn the requirement into action.
Must have an eye for new investments the customers may undertake.
Providing support to customers for the system installed (during and after office hours).
Assist in commissioning and deployment during project implementation phase, provide on-site assistance.
Record incidents / problems in CRM.
Adequate troubleshooting skills and ability to rectify problems before engaging level 2 support.
Support customer spare parts handling / inventory.
