Qualifications

• Higher NITEC or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on field service/maintenance experience.
• Experience with robotics or electromechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and support robotic systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair, adjust, and replace components as needed.
• Provide service reports and parts usage records.
• Communicate with customers and site personnel professionally.
• Travel to customer sites across Singapore; after-hours support when required.
• Assist with spare-parts management.
• Escalate complex issues to engineering when necessary.
• Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to engineering.

Field Service Maintenance Technician | Robotics/Electro-Mechanical

Singapore-based robotics company developing and deploying robotic solutions for real-world commercial applications. Looking for a Field Service Technician to join their growing team and support the installation, maintenance and reliable operation of robotic systems.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working with mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting technical problems and learning about robotics and automation.

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $3,500/month, depending on experience

Location: Singapore (Central-West), with regular travel to customer and field sites

Jobscope

• - Install, commission and support robotic systems at customer sites.
• - Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and equipment inspections.
• - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor and basic system-related issues.
• - Carry out repairs, adjustments and component replacements where required.
• - Respond to technical service requests and escalated complex issues to the appropriate technical team.
• - Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and parts usage records.
• - Communicate professionally with customer representatives and site personnel.
• - Provide basic operational guidance to customers when required.

Requirements

• - Higher NITEC or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• - At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in field service, maintenance, electromechanical systems, robotics, automation or a related environment.
• - Practical knowledge of mechanical assemblies, basic electrical systems and fault diagnosis.
• - Experience with robotics, automation or electromechanical equipment is an advantage.
• - Comfortable using hand tools and basic diagnostic / testing equipment.
• - Able to troubleshoot problems logically and work independently in the field.
• - Able to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non‑technical users.
• - A valid Class 3 driving licence is preferred.
• - Willing to travel between customer sites and provide occasional after‑hours support when required.
