Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to support the setup and ramp of the next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line in Singapore. You will collaborate across engineering and operations to drive technology transfer from pathfinding to pilot production, ensuring a smooth fab ramp-up.

The role requires hands-on experience in process design, data analysis, and collaboration with suppliers and R&D teams. Travel and cross-functional teamwork are expected in this role.

Responsibilities

• Support Failure Analysis and Construction Analysis for qualification/evaluation/process reject/RMA activities and produce final reports.
• Advise cross-functional teams on analysis techniques to identify root causes.
• Provide machine readiness and buyoff for new tools and capacity ramp-up.
• Develop new capabilities to enhance detection, productivity, or recipe optimization.
• Drive improvement activities including robustness, cycle time, and cost reduction.
• Train FA staff on FA techniques and procedures.
• Maintain FA tools and lab environment to meet 5S and safety requirements.
• Assist audits and respond to action items.
• Support Finance and sales in FA service quotations.
• Collaborate with IT to set up systems for FA requests and report uploads.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
