Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues to support a smooth fab ramp.

You will collaborate with vendors and IT teams, transfer technology from pathfinding to pilot production, and generate technical documentation.

Qualifications

3 years’ Reliability Test and FA experience in semiconductor/photonic industries.
Strong knowledge of FA techniques including cross-section, ion-mill, CSAM, EDX, FTIR, FIB.
Understanding of materials physics; relate REL & FA test results.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Self-directed and able to meet commitments.

Responsibilities

Support and perform Failure Analysis / Construction Analysis as requested by stakeholders for qualification / evaluation / process reject / RMAs; provide results for final reports.
Advise cross-functional teams on analysis techniques to understand root causes.
Provide machine readiness and buyoff for new tools and capacity ramp-up.
Develop new analysis capabilities to enhance detection or productivity and optimize recipes.
Drive improvement activities such as robustness, cycle time, and cost reductions.
Conduct FA staff training on FA techniques and procedures.
Maintain FA tools and lab to meet 5S and safety requirements.
Support audits and follow up on action items.
Assist Finance and sales to generate FA service quotations.
