Job summary

AMACHA MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Product Developer to drive the end-to-end development, testing and commercialization of new beverages, gelato and wellness-inspired foods.

You will own recipes, ensure customer alignment, and deliver commercially viable products across AMACHA's growing retail network. The role requires hands-on formulation, sensory evaluation and strong project management to translate briefs into launch-ready products.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition or related discipline.
• Preferably 3 years or more of relevant experience in food or beverage product development, R&D or related field.
• Experience developing products for multi-outlet F&B chains, beverage brands, food manufacturers or FMCG companies is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and formulate new beverages, including herbal teas, milk-based drinks, speciality beverages and seasonal offerings.
• Explore opportunities in complementary product categories such as gelato, desserts, bakery products and other wellness-inspired concepts.
• Translate briefs and concepts into prototypes, tested formulations and commercially viable products.
• Conduct recipe trials, sensory evaluations and taste testing for refinements.
• Proactively research and propose innovative product concepts aligned with brand direction and customer preferences.
• Manage product development projects from concept to commercial launch readiness.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing products based on feedback and performance.
• Enhance taste, texture, consistency, stability and overall quality.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges involving herbal ingredients, dairy, plant-based milks.
• Improve preparation processes for consistency across outlets.
• Identify opportunities to simplify recipes and reduce wastage.
• Research new ingredients, flavour combinations and prep techniques.
• Understand ingredient functionality, stability and sensory characteristics.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers and consultants on new formulations.
• Benchmark competitors and stay informed about trends in beverages and wellness foods.
• Prepare accurate recipe costing and product development reports.
• Evaluate products based on costs, margins and scalability.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on availability and alternatives.
• Develop standardised recipes, specifications and SOPs.
• Maintain records of trials, results and formulation changes.
• Coordinate shelf-life and regulatory testing when required.
• Support product quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Work with Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain for launches.
• Conduct trials with retail teams to assess feasibility.
