Job summary

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital seeks a full-time leader to partner with the HOD and drive the development and management of clinical services across the care continuum. You will work with the Chair and department heads to meet performance targets and oversee clinical transformation initiatives.

You will develop business plans, coordinate marketing for workload growth, and manage procurement with stakeholders while ensuring data-driven performance reviews and adherence to hospital goals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HOD for clinical services development and operations across care continuum.
• Joint accountability with Chair and Heads for department performance indicators.
• Support clinical transformation to improve access, outcomes, and reduce OON referrals.
• Drive cancer care ecosystem development across NHG Health sites to serve Central North population.
• Develop and execute business plans and marketing strategies to drive workload growth.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on procurement of medical equipment for services.
• Assist in data management and analysis of performance indicators.
• Lead change and align department goals with hospital business objectives.
• Support corporate activities after office hours and promote continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.

Job description

This is a full-time position offered on a 2-year employment contract, with the possibility of renewal/extension based on performance and organisational needs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SPECIFIC (80%)
   1. Partner and support the designated Head of Department (HOD) of Clinical Departments for the development and operational management of clinical services throughout the care continuum. This collaboration will include on identifying and driving opportunities for the growth of both new and existing clinical services.

2. Joint accountability with Chair of Clinical Division and Heads of Clinical Departments in meeting business, financial and operational performance indicators of the department. This would include, but not limited to, patient workload in various care settings, Financial Performance, SOC appointment lead time and surgical lead time (if applicable) and any relevant operational patient care outcomes.

3. Support clinical transformation efforts including improving access for better outcomes (early detection/timely intervention), optimising value-based care outcomes, and increasing market share through progressive reduction of out-of-network (OON) referrals.
4. Support the development of clinical projects by conducting change management and partnering stakeholders to achieve common action plans.
   1. Drive the development of the Cancer Care ecosystem across NHG Health, supporting cancer-related service development and implementation across PHI sites to serve the Central North population.
   2. Develop and execute business plan and marketing strategies to improve workload identified for growth to meet organizational and population needs.
5. Work closely with stakeholders on the purchase of medical equipment/ equipment to support clinical services of the department.
6. Support in data management and analysis of performance indicators.
