• Bachelor degree is required; CPSM certification is an added advantage.
• Five+ years of procurement experience, preferably in chemicals/FMCG within an MNC.
• Experience in logistics procurement, including freight sourcing.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Purchasing module.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to operate in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ/Tender processes: document preparation, tender briefing, invitations, and evaluations.
• Develop contracting plans and negotiate terms with suppliers; coordinate with legal.
• Manage supplier qualifications, performance reviews, and annual audits in Singapore.

Senior Executive (Indirect Materials & Services Procurement), Asia Pacific

This individual position will be required to support Singapore Operations by ensuring supply of Indirect Materials & Services to approved specifications, standards while adhering to organisation strict business ethics & integrity. This position will own & address all Singapore issues & initiatives relating to supplier qualifications, specifications, certifications, and performance while contributing to meeting IMS goals as well as supporting APAC indirect procurement initiatives.

The Position:

• Strong understanding of Freight procurement (air, ocean, land) and other indirect spend categories


• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement (to benefit TCO and/or speed)


• Develop and drive action plans (including priorities, timelines) and progress


• Prompt resolution of Materials and Services supply interruptions


• Develop and implement contracting plans, including sourcing events, negotiations, contract execution, and renewal

Continuously identify and implement initiatives to improve supplier base supply security (such as approved sources, quality, lead time, packaging, MOQ, etc.) and/or TCO, through (but not limited to) the following:

• Develop Singapore Procurement initiatives pipeline, esp. on Freight procurement


• Collaborate with QA (Quality Assurance) and if applicable, IPI (Industrialisation & Process Innovation), Technical on packaging quality issues or qualification of potential new sources


• Assess and complete annual supplier evaluation for identified list of suppliers


• With QA (Quality Assurance) on annual Suppliers Audits to ensure compliant with Quality Policies and Requirements and supporting Singapore site audits on Procurement matters

Lead the RFQ/Tender Process, specifically (but not limited to) to the following:

• Prepare RFQ /tender documents, arrange tender briefing, and send tender invitation to suppliers


• Compile and evaluate tender submissions including analysis on price, terms, and conditions


• Work with key stakeholders on RFQ/tender evaluation and final supplier recommendations


• Negotiate with final supplier on pricing and other terms and conditions


• Prepare contract and submit to legal for review, discuss / negotiate contractual terms and clauses with suppliers (in consultation with legal

Contribute to Asia Pacific Value & Vibrancy through (but not limited to) the following:

• Assists in APAC Procurement and Global Procurement (if necessary) calls


• Contribute to Procurement lead/related \"Task Forces\" (pro-active focus to support business strategy) and \"Focus Groups\" (mitigating issues)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Min Bachelor Degree, CPSM certification is an added advantage


• Min 5 years of successful track record in Procurement, exposure in working collaboratively within an MNC matrix environment preferably within Chemicals/FMCG industries too


• Experience in logistics procurement, including freight sourcing and carrier management, would be an added advantage


• Good working knowledge in SAP Purchasing module


• Self-starter orientation, ability to multi-task and handle tight timelines/work pressures, is a team player with situational leadership knowledge and capacity to negotiate and resolve conflicts


• Is analytical, creative & decisive in problem solving to yield optimal and pragmatic solutions


• Effective communication (both written & verbal) as well as possessing strong interpersonal skills with a good command of English language


• Is proficient with the usage of MS Office Suite.
