Job summary

Sentosa Development Corporation seeks an Assistant Designer to support planning, design and development of Sentosa’s built environment, from concept ideation to on-ground implementation.

You will liaise with government agencies, consultants and contractors, facilitate tenancy planning and wayfinding, and contribute to project documentation while honing your design skills and enhancing the island’s guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design.
• Strong design flair and creative problem solving.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI architectural rendering tools, BIM, or Revit.

Job description

Work with Department Head or assigned leader to support the planning, design and development of Sentosa’s built environment. Projects range from design ideation to on-ground implementation, contributing to the island’s distinctive identity and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in design ideation, research and feasibility studies, and play an active role in stakeholders’ engagements and presentations.
• Assist on the planning, review and facilitation of tenancy and wayfinding works, ensuring that outcomes are aligned with SDC’s design standards and vision.
• Liaise with government agencies, consultants and contractors to coordinate planning, design and development works, and provide administrative support including minute-taking for meetings and project documentation.

• Strong design flair and a creative problem solver
• Enthusiastic self-starter and a good team player
• Appetite for learning and staying current with design trends and tools i.e. ability to use AI for visualisation and animation
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design.
• Master’s degree of above equivalent will be an advantage.
• Software skills - Autocad, Sketchup with real time rendering, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office suite. Video-editing skills are also expected.
• Familiarity with AI Architectural rendering tools, BIM, or Revit will be an added advantage.

This is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
