Job summary

Sentosa Development Corporation is hiring for a design-led role to drive islandwide planning and development of Sentosa’s built environment. You will lead design ideation, feasibility studies, and collaborate with ministries, consultants, and contractors to translate concepts into deliverables.

The role emphasizes strong UI/UX and spatial design thinking, with a focus on guest experience and identity across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture with professional registration in Singapore.
• Design thinking and a strong design flair are essential.
• Ability to use AI for visualization and animation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design ideation, research, and feasibility studies for Sentosa’s built environment.
• Engage stakeholders for feedback and project coordination.
• Formulate design briefs and urban design guidelines for guidance.
• Coordinate end-to-end from inception to delivery with ministries, authorities, and contractors.
• Prepare approval papers, specifications, and drawings to facilitate clearances.
• Plan and review tenancy works considering holistic guest experience.

Job description

Carry out islandwide planning, design and development of Sentosa’s built environment, in support of SDC’s strategic goals. The scope ranges from design ideation to on-ground implementation, contributing to the island’s distinctive identity and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out design ideation, research, content narrative and feasibility studies to ensure SDC’s design approaches and execution are ahead of the curve in the market.
• Conduct stakeholders’ engagements to gather feedback and for project coordination purpose.
• Formulate Design Brief and Urban Design Guidelines to guide planning and development works.
• Work closely with ministries, authorities, SDC’s stakeholders, consultants and contractors from project inception, ideation to final delivery of the developments i.e. end-to-end integrated design management
• Preparation of approval papers and related materials eg. specifications and drawings etc. to facilitate clearances.
• Plan, review and facilitate tenancy works spanning from land preparation, marketing exercise and design management, taking into account holistic experience planning and considerations.

• Registered Qualified Person under Singapore’s Board of Architects.
• Process a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Master’s degree of above equivalent will be an advantage.
• Relevant degree in Urban Design or Planning can be considered.
• Software skills - Autocad, Sketchup with real time rendering, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office suite. Video-editing skills are also expected.
• Familiarity in AI Architectural rendering software, BIM, Revit will be an added advantage.

This is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
