About the role
The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (HR Business Partnering cum Talent Acquisition) is a multifaceted role that combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on talent acquisition expertise. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to business leaders and employees, translating business objectives into effective HR solutions while ensuring the attraction and selection of top talent. The role requires a proactive approach, strong relationship-building skills, and deep understanding of both human resources and the nuances of talent acquisition.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnership as a trusted partner to designated business units, understanding their objectives, challenges, and workforce needs.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Support organizational change initiatives and drive a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, development, and engagement.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively address workforce challenges.
Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for assigned roles, from sourcing and screening candidates to facilitating interviews, offers, and onboarding.
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse and high-quality talent.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for key positions and future needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, create compelling job descriptions, and ensure clarity in job expectations.
- Conduct interviews and assessments together with hiring managers, ensuring candidates are aligned with organizational values and role requirements.
- Coordinate with external recruitment agencies and platforms where necessary.
- Champion employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees by addressing workplace issues, grievances, and conflicts promptly and effectively.
- Lead investigations into employee concerns, ensuring fair procedures and objective outcomes in line with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Facilitate employee dialogues, mediate disputes, and recommend solutions that foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
- Provide guidance on workplace conduct, communication, and compliance with company values and standards.
- Monitor workplace culture and engagement, proactively identifying areas for improvement and supporting initiatives that enhance morale, trust, and overall employee well-being.
- Engage Healthcare Services Employees Union Industrial Relations Officer where appropriate.
HR Business Partnership
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and exit interviews.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and external partners regarding HR matters.
- Resolve employee queries and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Communicate HR initiatives and updates clearly and effectively across the business units, stakeholders and employees.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, including direct experience in talent acquisition or recruitment. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager position.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence decision making.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and recruitment best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
