Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer for the Photo Department to sustain and optimize equipment performance, provide Level 1/2 support, and lead preventive maintenance initiatives in a fast-paced fab environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics engineering and 1–3 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, with PRO Z experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with PM, troubleshooting, and data-driven improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet goals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure reliability.
• Set up systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of wafers, chemicals, and consumables.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and costs.
• Document maintenance procedures and review data to support continuous improvement.
• Forecast maintenance schedules and consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments is timely and within specs.

We're searching for a Senior Equipment Engineer to be part of our Photo Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals, while providing first-line technical support during rotating/swing shifts
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Setup a system to ensure un-interrupted supply of dummy wafers/ chemicals/ coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost without undue equipment down time due to parts not available.
• Document preventive maintenance and recovery procedures, track machine performance, and review data to support continuous improvement
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedule and spares/ consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments are done timely and within specs.
• Familiar with ISO standards requirements and ensure that the section meets them.
• Involve in machine Part repair and R&M reduction activities for self-sufficiency.
• Ensure good 6S housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab
• Establish communication channel with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and perform benchmarking.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) program to response during emergency situation.
• Participate in Transform (10k idea, LSS & BKM) programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost.
• Execute new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment for production
• Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, alarm 3, and EMAP review and close follow up

More about you

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year)
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes.
