Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing, Production Planning I department. You will supervise production activities and coordinate WIP flow to maximize throughput while maintaining line linearity.

Ideal candidates have a degree in science or engineering, interest in wafer fabrication, and will support 12-hour shifts. Fresh graduates welcome to apply; leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals using manpower, material and machine.
• Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of WIP for maximum throughput and minimal idle time.
• Solicit Engineering support to ensure focus on critical areas and variances.
• Resolve line-related issues and preventive maintenance to identify bottlenecks.
• Mentor and train Manufacturing Leaders and Assistants for efficient operations.
• Execute improvement programs in manufacturing operations within the section.
• Facilitate quality, productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance by all personnel.

We’re searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to be part of our Manufacturing, Production Planning I Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals through the efficient use of manpower, material, and machine; together with proficient methodologies, in a hazardous-free and healthy working environment.


• Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of WIP for maximum throughput, minimum idle time and maintain line linearity.


• Solicit Engineering support to ensure tight focus on areas and variance requiring immediate attention.


• Resolve and handle line-related issues / preventive maintenance and to understand all equipment capacities / constraints so as to identify, handle and resolve bottleneck situations.


• Mentor and train all Manufacturing Leaders and Assistants to develop skills required for efficient MFG operations.


• Execute improvement programs in manufacturing operations in his/her Section.


• Facilitate and participate in quality, productivity and cost reduction improvement.


• Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance by all personnel and take actions on violators.


• Ensure proper documentation and data-integrity.


• Perform shift duties to support production, as required by Section Manager.

• Degree in Science or Engineering Proven leadership quality


• Preferably 1-3 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
