Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer for our Etching Department. You will lead preventive maintenance, monitor equipment performance, and coordinate with process and manufacturing teams to meet module objectives. The role requires 2–5 years of wafer fab experience and strong analytical skills.

You will work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, ensure ISO-compliant PMs, manage spares forecasting, and drive improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics or equivalent.
• 2-5 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as an Equipment Engineer.
• Engineering knowledge across semiconductor devices, electronics, control systems, wafer fabrication, pumps and vacuum, wiring.
• Familiar with Lam etch tool.
• Good team player and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.
• perform 12 hours rotating day/night shift to support production with quality.
• perform scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• monitor and control equipment performance indices.
• maximize uptime of equipment to sustain performance.
• coordinate with process and manufacturing engineers to meet module objectives.
• establish stock levels of spares and consumables based on forecasted volume.
• forecast equipment spares and expenditures.
• provide and maintain PM specifications to meet ISO requirements.
• organize training for AEs to upgrade skills and effectiveness.
