Job summary

STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Equipment Reliability Engineer to sustain tool reliability, lead cost-saving maintenance projects, and oversee new tool commissioning from setup to production readiness.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and IE to improve OEE, yield, throughput and quality while providing technical support and knowledge transfer to shift engineers and line staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Master degree in HR, sciences, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with schematics in collaboration with vendors.
• Experience designing sensor solutions using microcontrollers (STM32) or Raspberry Pi as part of FDC.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve tool reliability and cost efficiency across the line.
• Lead and execute maintenance cost-saving and optimization projects.
• Oversee new tool commissioning from setup to production readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and IE for equipment installation and OEE improvements.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to SME and line staff.
• Translate engineering requirements into preventive maintenance tasks and actions.
• Lead benchmarking and qualification runs for new diffusion furnaces and ensure safety KPI compliance.

Job description

YOUR ROLE

• Equipment Reliability & Cost Optimization


• Maintain and sustain tool reliability and robustness independently.


• Lead and execute maintenance cost-saving projects.


• Oversee new tool commissioning from setup to production readiness.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Problem Solving


• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to prioritize and resolve operational issues.


• Work with IE (Industrial Engineering) on equipment installation, relocation, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement projects.


• Technical Support & Knowledge Transfer


• Provide technical support & tool-specific expertise to SME (Shift Maint Engr) & Line Support staffs.

• Preventive Maintenance Management


• Translate engineering requirements into actionable preventive maintenance tasks.


• Collaborate with engineering teams to meet manufacturing targets (yield, throughput, and quality).

• To work with equipment vendor / project team / Facility Process for new tool installation , commissioning and qualification meeting the defined timeline schedule.And to align tool capabilities with existing specifications.


• To lead equipment / process / capacity / Cost improvement projects


• To do benchmarking and qualification runs to confirm process stability and repeatability on new diffusion furnaces.


• To sustain the equipment optimal performance at defined KPI complying safety requirements

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Electrical Master degree in human resources, sciences or similar


• Competency & knowledge required to troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematic, for installation and commissioning of new equipment with equipment vendors


• Experience in designing and developing solutions sensors via micro-controllers (eg. STM32) / Raspberry Pi computers as part of FDC (Fault Detection Control)


• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving under pressure, and cross-functional collaboration in team discussion for equipment issues


• Min. 2-3 years experience with technical knowledge in 8\" Diffusion furnaces (Kokusai / TEL ALPHA / VTR / ASM)


• Technical competency & knowledge required to troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematic
  Quality Knowledge - Implement Best Known Method (BKM) with vendor / benchmarking
