Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) is seeking a maintenance technician to support 12-hour shifts on the production floor. Responsibilities include following SOPs, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime.

You will assist engineers with installations and contribute to safety and metrology data collection. The ideal candidate holds a Nitec/ Diploma/ Degree in engineering with 2+ years in semiconductor environments and is proficient

Qualifications

• Nitec / Diploma / Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in semiconductor, diffusion furnace or clean-tech equipment.
• Strong logical thinking and good analytical skills.
• High integrity with ownership and accountability.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOP and carry out CAS per specification.
• Execute scheduled / special preventive maintenance per PM schedule.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain housekeeping on production floor, sub FAB and office.
• Ensure safety and safe custody of tools and equipment.
• Use measurement instruments and create metrology files.
• Perform 12-hour shift duties to support production.
• Assist Engineers with installation and upgrades of equipment.
• Assist in equipment improvement projects.
• Able to train operators and trainers on new procedures.
• Maintain tools and provide on-the-job training.
• Assist on-line issue handover with proper checklists.
• Wafer scrap reduction awareness.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow SOP and carry out CAS per specification.


• Execute scheduled / special preventive maintenance (PM) as per PM schedule and specifications.


• Troubleshoot basic equipment related issues and minimize equipment downtime.


• Maintain good housekeeping in the production floor / sub FAB / Office, and maintenance support areas.


• Ensure and follow good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module.


• Know how to use measurement instruments effectively in data collection. Able to create metrology job files correctly (equipment list to be defined by the Supervisors.)


• Perform shift duties (12-hours shift) to support the running of production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production.


• Assist Engineer in the installation and hook up of new or upgrading equipment.


• Assist in implementing equipment improvement projects.


• Able to train operators and trainers in new operational procedures.


• Execute good maintenance of support tools.


• Assist new Technician/Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy.


• Provide proper and accurate passed down of line issues and documentation (fill up and file the checklists).


• Wafer scrap reduction awareness.

Job Requirements

• Nitec / Diploma / Degree in any engineering fields or equivalent.


• Minimum 2 year working experience in semiconductor, Diffusion Furnace/Clean tech Equipment,


• Strong logical thinking capability and good analytical skill


• High level of integrity and committed with good ownership and accountability


• Able to adapt in a fast pace environment and work under pressure Proficient in MS Office Applications
