RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead on-site installation and commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

You will coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams during project delivery, ensuring safety compliance and high-quality documentation. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on electrical installation experience, strong knowledge of high‑voltage systems, and the ability to travel regionally to project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical installation and commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, electrical distribution systems, inverters and power electronics.
• Experience with high‑voltage systems and energy storage safety practices.
• Hands‑on experience in BESS installation, commissioning, site testing, troubleshooting and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site installation and deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

• Install and configure electrical distribution equipment and integrate systems with diesel generators where required.

• Ensure installations and project activities comply with safety requirements, electrical codes and relevant regulations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, testing records and project reports.
• Provide basic system operation and troubleshooting guidance to customers and project partners.
• Work closely with engineering and product development teams to provide technical feedback from project sites.

Our client is a Singapore-based energy technology company specialising in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hybrid power systems and intelligent power management solutions.
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm
Location: Jurong area

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, electrical distribution systems, inverters and power electronics.
• Experience with high‑voltage systems and energy storage safety practices.
• Hands‑on experience in BESS installation, commissioning, site testing, troubleshooting and system integration.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and single‑line diagrams.
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers and clamp meters.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently at project sites and manage on‑site technical issues effectively.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel to regional project sites as required.
