Job summary

GARNER HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to plan and optimize production processes, turning raw material into updated or new products efficiently.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least 2 years of experience. You will work with CNC, Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SAP, coordinating with multiple departments to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree in Precision/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD; NC programming.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

Purpose of the Job:

The ability to plan the practices of manufacturing; to research and to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment; and to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital.The manufacturing engineer's primary focus is toturn Raw Material into an Updated product or a New Product in the mosteffective, efficient & economic way possible.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Prepare production and inspection processes
• Prepare CNC program for part machine processes and design machine fixtures for casting machining
• Liaise with other departments on the delivery requirement of customer orders
• Lead, prepare and implement First Article part process including documentation package.
• Provide guidance and support in milling, turning, grinding and honing machining processes to operators.
• Lead and manage continuous improvement to reduce cycle time.
• Design machine fixtures for casting machining.
• Improve process to shorten cycle time and ensure quality consistency
• Possess technical inclination to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes
• Keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time
• Reporting: To Head of Engineering

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Precision / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Required:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and specification
• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
• Knowledge in using Mastercam, Solidworks, Autocad and create NC Programming
• Experiencein process planning including Jig & Fixture design and tools application
• Knowledgein SAP is an advantage
• Stronganalytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written - In English and Chinese)
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
