Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, VMware ESXi/vSphere/vSAN, and enterprise backup solutions.

You will monitor, optimize, and secure the core datacenter, coordinate migrations to Azure/AWS/GCP, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and governance. The role demands strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2012 and above).
• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vSAN.
• Knowledge of Microsoft MDT, MBAM, SCOM, Active Directory, and Windows Failover Clustering.
• Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam and Veritas NetBackup.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage platforms such as EMC.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools including SolarWinds, Splunk, and Tenable.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and endpoint security.
• Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2012 and later versions).
• Configure and support Microsoft infrastructure components, including MDT, MBAM, SCOM, Active Directory, and Windows Failover Clustering.
• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure using VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vSAN.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve server, infrastructure, and virtualization issues to ensure system availability and operational performance.
• Perform server upgrades, hardware and software installations, configuration changes, and capacity planning.
• Manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam and Veritas NetBackup.
• Administer enterprise storage platforms such as EMC and support storage-related operations.
• Support cloud infrastructure and migration activities involving Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Administer network-related services, including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Tenable, and prepare operational reports.
• Plan, coordinate, test, and implement operating system and security patches, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.
• Perform routine operational activities, including log reviews, account administration, incident management, service request fulfilment, and monitoring alert response.
• Support infrastructure transition activities, vendor coordination, and operational handover of systems where required.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configuration records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to support infrastructure operations and project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with organisational security policies, IT governance standards, and operational procedures.
