Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Server Consultant with expertise in Wintel (Windows Server), Group Policy Objects (GPO), Active Directory, VMware, Azure, and Microsoft 365 (M365) services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, security best practices, and experience in managing managed services for clients. Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation to clients on server infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with a focus on Wintel (Windows Server) environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory (AD) environments, including domain controllers, user and group management, GPO configuration, and AD replication.
• Manage and administer VMware virtualization infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, virtual machines, and vCenter Server.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 (M365) services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
• Implement security best practices across server environments, Azure, and M365 services, including but not limited to:
  • Hardening server configurations to mitigate security risks.
  • Implementing access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Monitoring for security threats and vulnerabilities and responding appropriately to mitigate risks.
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits.
• Handle managed services for clients, including proactive monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of server-related issues.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and recommend server solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client IT teams as needed.
• Participate in pre‑sales activities, including solution design, proposal preparation, and client presentations.

Requirements

• Good command of English
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience in server administration, with a focus on Wintel (Windows Server), Active Directory, GPO, VMware, Azure, and M365 services
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in server environments, Azure and M365 services
• Experience in managing managed services for clients, including incident management, problem resolution, and service level management
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent certifications are preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
