Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore seeks an Equipment Development Engineer to innovate and optimize 3D NAND manufacturing equipment, leading supplier collaborations and technology decisions with Process Development.

You will manage tool installation, qualification and project execution while ensuring safety, documentation, and IP compliance. You will coordinate across global teams to drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and data-driven insights, integrating AI-enabled enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor equipment sector.
• Strong understanding of equipment operation, troubleshooting and tool installation procedures.
• Exposure to R&D equipment transfer and ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with global partners; adherence to IP policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize new and existing equipment hardware from concept to implementation.
• Lead teams or suppliers on complex equipment projects for rapid maturity and cost productivity.
• Collaborate with Process Development to decide equipment technology choices for advanced nodes.
• Provide technical guidance to senior management and pursue innovation via patents or papers.
• Oversee tool installation, qualification, and commissioning for next NAND node; minimize downtime.
