Job summary

The incumbent at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Singapore is responsible for growth by identifying Variation Order opportunities and enhancing OBU software solutions under the TR150 ERP2.0 contract. He/she must build a sustainable pipeline and recurring business to support long-term objectives.

Key duties include building customer relationships, gathering requirements, coordinating with engineering teams, and presenting proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree of Engineering and at least 10 years’ experience in Intelligent Transport Systems.
• Native level of Japanese writing and speaking (JLPT N1) to liaise with Japan counterparts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of ITS related products and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of C++ programming language.

Responsibilities

Job description

The incumbent is responsible for business growth by identifying and developing Variation Order (VO) opportunities, particularly through enhancements and new functionalities of on board unit (OBU) software solutions under LTA Contract (TR150: ERP2.0). He/she is required to establish a sustainable project pipeline and recurring business base to support long‑term business objectives.

Responsibilities

Business Development and Customer Engagement

• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Gather and analyze customer requirements
• Identify and develop business opportunities
• Develop and present solution proposals

Solution Development and Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with engineering and development teams
• Assess technical feasibility of proposed solutions
• Consolidate technical inputs and requirements
• Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

• Liaise between customers and internal teams
• Manage internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional activities
• Facilitate communication with MHI Group Members

Strategic Growth Initiatives

• Identify enhancement and expansion opportunities
• Monitor market and customer trends
• Support business growth strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree of Engineering and at least 10 years’ experience in Intelligent Transport Systems
• Native level of Japanese writing and speaking to liaise with Japan counterparts (JLPT N1) is a must as liaising with Japanese internal counterparts and external suppliers is necessary.
• Microsoft Office Skill (Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint)
• Related experience and knowledge of ITS related products.
• Engineering knowledge of Japan’s Intelligent Transport Systems products and related fields.
