Job summary

Rockwell Automation is recruiting a Staff/Senior Firmware Test Engineer for its Singapore Campus. The role focuses on planning, designing, automating, and executing firmware verification to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.

You will work with firmware architects, developers, and system engineers across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong embedded systems, real-time software, and test automation expertise, and will help drive quality from design through release

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with software focus.
• Typically 5+ years of embedded software testing, firmware validation, or firmware development.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS, and hardware/software interactions.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an embedded member of the firmware development team throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop firmware test strategies, plans, and cases based on requirements and software architecture.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing for embedded firmware.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to improve coverage.
• Maintain HIL/SIL environments and support CI/CD in development pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers during reviews to improve product quality and root-cause analysis.
• Verify implementation against requirements and ensure traceability.
