Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior/Firmware System Engineer to join the PMB development group in our Singapore campus. You will design embedded firmware subsystems for industrial automation, balancing run-time performance, memory usage, and safety while maximizing reuse of existing components.

You will report to the Firmware Security Manager in a hybrid Singapore office and collaborate across global teams, ensuring secure firmware development practices and adherence to CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/CE/EE with Firmware concentration or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in embedded firmware development focusing on RTOS, drivers, and real-time systems.
• Experience with C/C++, Python scripting and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded firmware solutions for industrial automation products.
• Develop firmware subsystems to optimize performance, memory, reliability, and security.
• Create unit, integration, and system verification tests.
• Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with hardware, cybersecurity, quality, and product teams.
