Job summary

Dyson Institute in Shenzhen seeks a Lead Electronics Engineer to steer the NPD Hardware Electronics team, delivering robust electronics solutions for new consumer appliance products. The role combines deep electronics expertise with technical leadership, cross‑functional influence and delivery accountability.

You will lead Electronics Engineers across development programmes, set clear technical expectations, drive design reviews and guide graduates to build capability within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in electronics development with leadership.
• Experience with embedded microcontroller platforms (8/16/ARM).
• Experience in power electronics, motor drives and high‑speed circuit design.
• Familiarity with IEC, UL and EMC standards; DFMEA and DFX experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Electronics Engineers across programmes.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments and investigations.
• Develop power, analogue/digital, and MCU‑based circuits for new products.
• Ensure design solutions meet specs, reliability, DFM and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing and JDM partners to deliver to milestones.
