Job summary

GREEN TENAGA PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a Site Service Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will oversee installations, lead testing and commissioning, and provide hands-on on-site support.

The role requires at least 2 years of electrical experience and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. You must be able to travel on short notice and demonstrate strong analytical, planning, and communication

Qualifications

• At least 2 years hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or site-based service work.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Familiarity with battery systems, switchgear, and power inverters is advantageous.
• Exposure to renewable energy systems (solar, BESS) is a plus.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, monitoring platforms, and software to analyse system performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site installations and commissioning per specs and safety protocols.
• Support routine maintenance and servicing of BESS, PCS, and related equipment.
• Conduct on-site data collection and performance checks using diagnostic tools or software.
• Maintain accurate site records including checklists, service reports, and photo documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors on-site to support timely execution of works.
• Support system upgrades, replacement activities, and performance testing.
• Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions (hardware and software).
• Adhere to HSE standards and site regulations; report unsafe practices immediately.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and field audits.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and contractors on-site.
• Ensure compliance with quality processes and drive continuous improvements.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues observed during fieldwork.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Solve customer problems, resulting in positive feedback and enhanced relationships.
• Travel to sites as required.

Key responsibilities include overseeing installations, leading testing and commissioning activities, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues to minimize system downtime, and supporting system upgrades. The role also involves providing on-site technical assistance, ensuring proper documentation, maintaining safety standards, and providing hands-on support to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of BESS.
