Job summary

Sumitomo (SHI) Cyclo Drive Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Automation/Control System Engineer to join our engineering team.

You will design, develop, program, test and commission Electrical Control Systems, MCCs, PLC, HMI/SCADA and BAS for industrial and infrastructure projects across Singapore and the Southeast Asia region, coordinating with customers, project managers and suppliers.

Qualifications

5+ years in electrical control system design and industrial automation projects.
Proven experience with PLC-based control systems, VFDs, instrumentation and industrial networking.
Strong knowledge of IEC Standards and Singapore Standards.
LEW licence and PMP certification advantageous.
Willingness to travel within Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

Design electrical control systems, MCCs, VFD panels, PLC systems, HMI/SCADA and power distribution equipment.
Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA applications for automation systems.
Configure industrial networks including Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, BACnet and MQTT.
Perform equipment selection, sizing calculations and prepare specifications.
Produce diagrams, schematics, layouts, cables, I/O lists and specs using AutoCAD.
Conduct FAT, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization.
Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors and vendors.
Provide technical support, training and documentation.
