Job summary

Weltec Controle Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer to design, develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial automation projects. You will work on control logic, sequences, interlocks, alarms and PID control, and integrate PLCs with SCADA/HMI, third-party equipment, FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.

The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens and Schneider PLCs; Mitsubishi PLC and Schneider SmartX Controller are a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant PLC experience on-site and off-site.
Experience with Siemens and Schneider PLCs preferred; other brands considered.
Experience with BMS control programming and system integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC control programs.
Develop control logic, sequences, interlocks, permissives, alarms and PID control.
Configure PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFDs and networks.
Integrate PLCs with SCADA/HMI and third-party equipment.
Review control philosophy, I/O lists, P&IDs and electrical drawings.
Conduct FAT, SAT, site testing and commissioning activities.
Perform PLC troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and optimization.
Prepare documentation, software backups and as-built programs.
Coordinate with clients, vendors and other engineering disciplines.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
