Job summary

RTX in Singapore is seeking an experienced EH&S Officer to lead safety and compliance across the site. You will guide management on policies, oversee regulatory permits, and drive risk reduction to achieve an injury-free workplace.

The role requires 5–7 years in EH&S with MOM WSHO and SCDF Fire Safety Manager registrations, ISO 45001/14001 experience, and strong communication skills. On-site work with extensive interaction across teams and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in EH&S or Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (MOM MOM WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (SCDF).
• Experience implementing ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in a large MNC industrial facility preferred.
• Independent, self-starter, able to work under pressure.
• Good communication, interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Meticulous with high integrity.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance to employees including management on the implementation of corporate EH&S policies and procedures to ensure full adherence.
• Drive compliance with regulatory and permit requirements through direct oversight of compliance calendar and standard work to ensure proper management and accurate reporting.
• Actively engage line organization in the implementation of EH&S programs to improve awareness and performance towards established goals.
• Steer company towards an injury-free work environment.
• Perform risk assessments with relevant stakeholders to recommend risk control measures.
• Coordinate EH&S emergency preparedness including training for managers and hourly staff, and conducting drills/exercises as required.
• Provide EH&S technical support in the areas of engineering development, process improvements, risk assessments, pollution prevention, chemical processing, and contractor management to ensure safety in work processes.
• Review RA, incident reports and ensure effective investigation with root cause and timely completion of corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and manage effective EH&S audit and inspection program.
• Support EH&S Council including proactive improvement projects/activities.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in EH&S or Engineering.
• At least 5 -7 years of professional experience in EH&S as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer registered with Ministry of Manpower and Fire Safety Manager Registered with SCDF.
• Possess experience in implementation of ISO management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience in a large MNC industrial facility is preferred.
• Able to work independently and a self-starter.
• Able to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills with the ability to develop and coach junior staff.
• Meticulous and exhibit a high level of integrity.
