Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Singapore is seeking skilled engine technicians to disassemble, inspect and assemble engines and modules in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will read SOPs, resolve technical issues, and support cell leaders to meet production targets, while performing SAP transactions and maintaining proper documentation. Rotating Day/Night shifts, overtime, and on-the-job trainings are provided. AWS and bonus plans are offered.

Qualifications

• NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years' engine disassembly/assembly/inspection experience; open to fresh hires with keen aerospace interest.
• Good understanding of engine manuals/technical drawings.
• Willing to undergo on-the-job training and certifications.
• Internal applicants should be in current grade for at least 2 years.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude toward change and learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Willing to rotate between Day and Night shifts and overtime as needed.
• Experience in Engine MRO or Aerospace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect and assemble engines, modules, and components.
• Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered daily.
• Support Operations Leader/Foremen/Cell Leaders to meet targets.
• Carry out SAP transactions and update works orders in SAP.
• Maintain proper documentation of work performed.
• Support EHS, continuous improvement and ethics programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Utilize machines/ equipment/ tools to perform disassembly, inspect and assembly functions of engines, its associated modules, parts, components, or accessories.
• Read and execute the standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter in their daily work.
• Assist the Operations Leader/ Assistant Foremen/ Cell Leaders in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Carry out SAP transaction and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.
• Carry out proper documentation.
• Actively support and participate in EHS, Continuous Improvement, ethics culture projects and any other corporate initiatives.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine disassembly/assembly/inspection or testing. Open to consider candidates with no experience with keen interests to pursue a career in aerospace industry.
• Good understanding of technical drawing such as Engine Manuals.
• A curious and learning mindset – we provide on-the-job trainings and certifications.
• Internal applicant must be in current grade for at least 2 years prior to higher grade application.
• Self-motivated to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Commit to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
• Relevant technical experience in Engine MRO or Aerospace industry is a plus.
