Job summary

HEXACON CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking an Environmental Officer to implement and monitor environmental management plans on construction sites in Singapore. You will conduct regular site inspections, ensure NEA compliance, and prepare environmental reports while coordinating with project teams and authorities.

The role requires ECO certification, a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction environmental management, and strong knowledge of pollution control, monitoring, and waste

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
• ECO certification recognized by NEA.
• Must have held ECO license for at least 5 years.
• Fundamental Course on Vector Management and Control certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction environmental management.
• Experience with A1 Main Contractors on large projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEA environmental regulations, pollution control measures, and construction environmental practices.
• Familiar with environmental monitoring, waste management, noise, dust and water pollution control.
• Able to conduct site inspections, prepare environmental reports, and coordinate with project teams, consultants and authorities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor environmental management plans for construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects including dust, noise, water pollution, waste management, and housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with NEA regulations and project environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports, records, inspection checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities on environmental matters.
• Conduct environmental briefings and promote environmental awareness among site personnel.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Support environmental audits and inspections.
