Job summary

Direct Search Global seeks an experienced Chartering Manager to lead dry bulk chartering across regional and international markets from Singapore. You will identify cargo and vessel opportunities, negotiate fixtures, and manage commercial exposure with a strong network of shipowners, charterers, brokers and traders.

In this role you will develop chartering strategies, prepare voyage estimates, monitor market developments, and coordinate with operations to ensure smooth post-fixture execution

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in dry bulk chartering, freight trading or shipbroking.
• Strong knowledge of voyage calculations and Charter Party terms.
• Established relationships with shipowners, charterers, brokers and cargo interests.
• Strong commercial judgement, numerical ability and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute chartering strategies across assigned dry bulk markets and trade routes.
• Identify and secure suitable cargo and vessel opportunities.
• Negotiate and conclude voyage charters, time-charter trips, COAs and other freight agreements.
• Prepare voyage estimates and assess freight rates, bunker costs, and port expenses.
