Job summary

ShopeePay R&D team seeks an experienced engineer to lead the development of the e-wallet financial system across multiple tech stacks. You will drive large-scale distributed architecture, system design, and performance optimization to ensure reliability and scalability.

Join a cross-regional team spanning Shenzhen, Singapore and Indonesia to deliver solutions for tens of millions of merchants and hundreds of millions of end users, collaborating with multinational groups and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in internet industry projects with distributed systems.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of databases and middlewares (MySQL, Nginx, Redis, Kafka).
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and high concurrency systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of ShopeePay e-wallet financial system across multiple tech stacks.
• Acting as an expert on distributed system design, performance optimization, availability, and refactoring.
• Designing inter-system architectures.
• Defining well-thought-out and balanced technical solutions.
• Driving to solve technical hurdles during project delivery.
• Breaking down solutions into executable tasks and estimating difficulty.
• Providing initiatives to refactor systems for better structure or performance.
• Collaborating with multinational teams to address business problems.
