Job summary

Shopee is seeking an engineer to develop secure, high‑reliability transaction systems for financial services across Southeast Asia. You will handle concurrent processing, define modular system functions, and ensure delivery quality and security.

Candidates should have a CS/IT degree and be proficient in Golang, Python, C++, or Java, with strong DB knowledge (MySQL/Oracle, Redis, Kafka). Experience in finance or high‑concurrency systems is a plus; excellent team communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Golang/Python/C++/Java).
• Experience with MySQL/Oracle and Redis/HBase/Kafka.
• Familiar with distributed architecture and microservice frameworks (K8S).

Responsibilities

• Develop security, high reliability and complex transaction systems for financial business.
• Define modular system functions and deployment schemes across Southeast Asia regions.
• Monitor quality and results of software solutions and projects.
• Provide technical expertise on POC development and platform features with security in mind.
