Job summary

ShopeePay is seeking a backend engineer to join our financial backend team. You will participate in design and development of payment, payout, channel integration, and fund security modules, and contribute to high-concurrency, high-availability systems.

Collaborate with multinational teams across Southeast Asia and Latin America, apply AI tools to improve daily work, and help deliver scalable, secure payment services for merchants and users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, information engineering, or related majors with in-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, etc).
• At least 3 years of full time working experience with backend systems and development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang, Python, or Java;
• Proficiency or previous experience with core middleware such as MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, with prior experience in performance troubleshooting and optimization.
• Prior experience in payment systems or fund processing systems; prior experience in e-commerce or e-wallet systems is a plus.
• Strong team collaboration skills, proactive communication, and self-driven problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities
