Job summary

MINISTRY OF ENERGY, TRADE AND INDUSTRY is leading policy development for Singapore’s industrial land to support manufacturing and industrialisation. The role involves data analysis, stakeholder engagements, and cross-agency coordination to anchor a vibrant ecosystem and attract investments.

You will help ensure adequate land and space, refine pricing frameworks, and work with JTC and METI boards to strengthen competitiveness. Public policy experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Be a quick learner, with a “can-do” attitude and ability to operate in a fluid environment.
• Ability to appreciate and synthesise multiple perspectives from stakeholders across Government, industry and the public.
• Be a self-starter and team player with excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills.
• Dare to dream but with feet on the ground; experience in formulating public policies and inter-agency projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers and basic econ-speak.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Ministry of Finance and sector agencies on a fundamental review of our industrial land pricing framework.
• Ensure sufficient industrial land and space to meet mid- to long-term economic needs; safeguard land/space and review land recycling plans.
• Support growth areas and competitiveness; collaborate with METI boards to anchor companies that provide good jobs.
• Work closely with JTC Corporation on facilities and mixed-use districts to address new manufacturing trends and productivity.
• Monitor the industrial property market with JTC; help set prices and rentals for land and space.
• Oversee corporate issues of JTC and its subsidiaries including organisational development and fiscal sustainability.
