Job summary

Starhub Ltd is seeking a Senior Matrixx SME DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. The role requires hands-on work with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, and Apache Camel, ensuring robust RESTful APIs and efficient CI/CD pipelines.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and contribute to architecture while applying security tests and disaster recovery practices. Strong coding discipline and on-call experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on with Apache Camel and EIPs.
• Experience deploying on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Proficient in CI/CD using Jenkins.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiar with security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA) and DR exercises.
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code and perform code reviews.
• On-call production support and incident root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices using Java, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Develop and manage services deployed on OpenShift/Kubernetes, including defining Dockerfiles and Kubernetes resource configurations (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, etc.).
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot services running in the OpenShift environment.
• Contribute to the architectural design of microservices, focusing on loose coupling, high cohesion, and fault tolerance.
• Implement data persistence technologies including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Integrate services using messaging systems such as Red Hat AMQ.
• Perform code reviews and ensure security standards and disaster recovery readiness.
