Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Application DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will manage containerized deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes, build CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and ensure secure, reliable operations.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, work with SQL/NoSQL databases, and participate in on-call rotations for incident response and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Software Eng.
• 3+ years developing enterprise apps with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Containerization with Docker & Kubernetes/OpenShift; OpenShift features a plus.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle and CI/CD tooling like Jenkins.
• Familiar with Linux, shell scripting, and Agile/Scrum practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop services on OpenShift/Kubernetes with Dockerfiles and Kubernetes configs; leverage CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to architecture with SQL/NoSQL persistence and messaging integrations.
• Perform code reviews, security scans, and on-call incident handling.
• Create and maintain runbooks, API specs, and system integration docs.
