Job summary

JPMorgan Chase, within the Corporate and Investment Banking Electronic Market Making team, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support reliability, automation, and efficiency of a latency-sensitive trading platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers to maintain infrastructure, tooling, and deployment pipelines across global regions to enable rapid, safe releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or production engineering.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Proficient with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and performance diagnostics.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to read and debug C++ codebases.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Automate workflows using Python and Bash to streamline provisioning and config management.
• Manage Linux-based production and development environments (RHEL/CentOS).
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code for deployment topology across environments.
• Develop and operate monitoring and observability tooling to ensure SLA compliance.
• Assist with network configuration for market data and exchange connectivity.
• Follow reliability practices including automated failover and disaster recovery.
• Develop internal developer tooling and self-service platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, infra, network, and platform teams to drive improvements.
• Support release management and production readiness reviews.
