Job summary

ESG Enterprise Singapore is seeking a role within the Quality & Excellence Group – Standards (Services) Division to help drive sustainability and electrical standards development. You will work across government, industry bodies and technical experts to shape governance, roadmaps and international engagement.

You will lead initiatives to build industry capability, plan standards workplans, and cultivate a robust pipeline of standards professionals through targeted programmes.

Job description

[What the role is]

You will be part of the Quality & Excellence Group – Standards (Services) Division, which leverages the national Standards and Conformance (S&C) infrastructure to build trust in Singapore’s products and services. In this role, you will be a part of the Sustainability, Electrical and International (IEC) department.

[What you will be working on]

This portfolio plays a key part in driving strategic standards development for Sustainability and Electrical & Electronics sectors by aligning stakeholders, driving high‑quality governance and international engagement, and building industry capability and future standards talent.

  • Facilitate strategic discussions with government agencies, industry bodies and technical experts to identify emerging technologies and anticipate future industry needs and regulatory developments, translating insights into forward‑looking standards roadmaps for Sustainability and Electrical & Electronics sectors.

  • Help to build consensus on standardisation priorities, and support the planning and execution of standards development workplans to drive industry and enterprise development, and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Manage standards development organisations (SDOs) to robust governance, quality outcomes and effective participation at international platforms. Work with partners to drive industry awareness and adoption of standards through outreach programmes, capability building and engagement initiatives.

  • Lead the implementation of the Young Professionals Programme for standards by helping to design and deliver workshops and engagement activities to build a robust pipeline of future standards professionals and cultivate sustained industry interest in standards development work.

  • Ability to think critically with the acumen to anticipate industry needs and translate them into actionable standards initiatives.
