Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to guide a multidisciplinary design team across real estate and infrastructure projects. You will partner with Process and Engineering teams to ensure a coordinated design approach and act as the primary interface with engineering partners.

Leading BIM coordination, cost input, and quality assurance, you will drive design excellence, safety, and constructability while enabling on-time delivery across locations. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, design, or project delivery within large-scale capital projects.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Demonstrated track record delivering complex projects from design through construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Strong experience in stakeholder management, including coordination of consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Experience managing engineering and design activities across multiple locations and teams.
• Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, risk management, quality, and safety requirements.
• Ability to identify and implement value engineering, cost-saving, and schedule optimization opportunities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel as required to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.
• Flexibility to work across different project phases and locations as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a multidisciplinary design team delivering integrated design solutions.
• Collaborate with Process and Engineering teams to ensure coordinated design approach.
• Interface with engineering partners managing design expectations and alignment.
• Coordinate BIM/model reviews, manage schedules, clash detection, and ensure design quality.
• Support development of detailed project schedules and provide input into project cost estimates.
• Partner with Quality teams to embed quality standards within design deliverables.
• Ensure EHS&S considerations are incorporated into designs focusing on constructability, commissioning, operability, and maintainability.
• Implement systems to monitor design quality, progress, and KPIs.
• Review and approve critical design elements and engineering deliverables.
• Lead engineering initiatives to identify cost optimization opportunities, schedule improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Provide engineering input into procurement strategies including modularization, skid-mounted systems, and off-site fabrication approaches.
• Manage the transition of design activities between engineering teams and project execution teams to ensure continuity.
• Provide field engineering support during the construction phase, ensuring installations comply with approved designs.
