Job summary

Dyson Singapore is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead development of complex product assemblies from concept through production. You will translate requirements into robust designs, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and ensure performance, reliability and manufacturability.

You will prototype, test, refine and document designs, participate in design reviews, and mentor junior engineers. A Mechanical Engineering degree and 4+ years of experience are expected, with hands-on

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of product design and development experience.
• Experience with plastics, rubber, metals or other engineered materials; knowledge of DFM, DFA, GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, engineering drawings, tolerance stack-up analysis and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex product assemblies and sub-systems from concept through production, ensuring efficiency, safety, reliability and quality.
• Translate challenges into clear design requirements, specifications and interfaces for interconnected systems.
• Create, evaluate and refine design concepts through analysis, prototyping, testing and data-informed decisions.
• Identify technical risks early and collaborate to develop mitigation plans.
• Build and learn from functional prototypes, using testing insights to improve performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations and supplier teams to ensure designs are scalable for production.
• Develop and review 3D CAD, 2D drawings, tolerance analyses and engineering documentation for release.
