Job summary

National University Health System is seeking a Senior Database Administrator/Engineer to manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments across DEV, UAT, STG, DR and PROD. You will architect schemas, plan migrations, and optimize performance while upholding security and compliance.

The role requires deep expertise in database administration, HA/DR, and DevOps-led deployments, with strong collaboration across IT, security, and vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/CE/IT/IS or related field.
• 8-12+ years IT experience with 3-5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications in AWS/cloud architecture, Kubernetes or ITIL/service management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administered and supported Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL across environments.
• Designed and maintained Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Planned production database deployments with change management.
• Implemented HA/DR, backup, recovery, and security controls.
• Led upgrades and migrations including SRE-style incident responses.
• Collaborated with multiple teams to deliver secure, scalable DB solutions.
