Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build in-house ML platforms and production-grade ML/LLM solutions at our One North office in Singapore. You will work on large-scale prediction, classification, and forecasting problems, collaborating with engineering and product teams to translate business needs into scalable ML features.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience building, deploying and monitoring ML/DL models in production.
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch with practical SQL and Spark experience for distributed data processing.
• Understanding of ETL and large-scale data platform architectures.
• Experience developing or fine-tuning transformer models, NLP architectures, or modern LLM frameworks.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into concrete ML formulations.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable ML solutions across prediction, classification, and forecasting problems.
• Deploy production LLMs and ML pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Process and feature engineering on massive multimodal datasets.
• Measure business impact via offline evaluations and online A/B experiments.
• Drive platform innovation and contribute to technical IP and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate requirements into scalable ML features.
• Leverage GenAI tools and modern workflows to accelerate code delivery and documentation.
