Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead end-to-end data science initiatives across the organization. The role combines statistics, mathematics and data preparation with hands-on ML development in Python.

You'll influence decisions, communicate results to both technical and non-technical teams, and mentor junior colleagues. Responsibilities include defining ML approaches, building scalable data pipelines, and delivering production-ready models with robust monitoring.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field.
• Significant experience delivering end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to evaluation.
• Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks; ability to write tested, maintainable code.
• Experience communicating results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead data science projects from problem definition through analysis, modelling and evaluation.
• Select statistical, mathematical and ML approaches for complex business problems.
• Lead data exploration, cleaning, feature engineering and dataset preparation.
• Design and monitor production ML models with robust validation and performance metrics.
• Develop scalable Python code following software engineering best practices.
• Present findings and implications clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business, product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Own project delivery, manage risks and changing priorities.
• Mentor junior data scientists with technical guidance.
• Evaluate new research and industry developments for value.
