Job summary

You will mentor junior data scientists, ensure rigor and reproducibility, and apply cloud-based ML services to real-world problems while maintaining production-ready Python code.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering data science projects end-to-end.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; ability to write maintainable code.
• Experience communicating to senior stakeholders.
• Mentoring or guiding other data scientists.

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects from problem definition through evaluation.
• Define statistical, mathematical and ML approaches for business problems.
• Lead data exploration, cleaning, transformation and feature engineering.
• Design, implement and optimise ML models with validation and monitoring.
• Develop production-ready Python code with good software engineering practices.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business, product and engineering teams to deliver impact.
• Take ownership of delivery, manage risks and changing priorities.
• Mentor junior data scientists through guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate new research and methodologies; apply where value-added.
• Use cloud-based ML services to develop scalable solutions.
