Job summary

Argyll Scott is hiring a Data Scientist, Cards and Payments, to join our consulting division in Singapore. You will deploy on client missions, turning transaction and customer data into strategic insights for a leading issuer bank in Singapore.

Your work will include building dashboards, defining KPIs, and developing models to support product, marketing and loyalty decisions, with a focus on executive-level storytelling and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in advanced analytics, data science, business intelligence or consulting analytics.
• Strong Python and SQL, plus Power BI or Tableau.
• Statistical modelling, machine learning and customer segmentation experience.
• Able to turn complex analysis into clear business recommendations for executives.
• Independent: structures problems and leads workstreams without daily supervision.
• Banking, cards, payments or retail banking data experience is strongly preferred.
• Client-facing consulting experience and Gen AI tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large transaction and portfolio datasets to find growth, engagement and profitability opportunities.
• Build insights across the cardholder lifecycle: acquisition, activation, spend, retention and attrition.
• Produce senior management dashboards, business reviews and executive presentations.
• Define KPIs and performance frameworks for planning and reviews.
• Build segmentation and predictive models to support product, marketing and loyalty decisions.
• Automate recurring reporting and create reusable analytical assets.
• Present findings to senior business leaders.
