Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd invites a Senior Data Engineer to join our Co-Development Data Platform team in Singapore. You will design, build and operate trusted data pipelines on the SWDA data platform using AWS and Databricks, enabling analytics and ML workloads.

You will lead data ingestion, transformation, modelling and quality initiatives, and drive efficiency through automation, governance and robust operational practices across development, test and production environments.

Qualifications

Strong Python, PySpark and SQL capabilities with distributed processing and testing.
Experience with Databricks, Spark and Delta Lake in production-scale pipelines.
AWS data engineering with S3, Glue, IAM and related services.
Experience designing lakehouse architectures and data products.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of batch and streaming data pipelines across AWS and Databricks.
Develop Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers with clear ownership and data contracts.
Ensure data quality, schema validation, and lineage across pipelines.
Implement orchestration, CI/CD and IaC for reliable deployments.
Establish governance: metadata, lineage, and access controls.
Monitor pipelines with dashboards, alerts and runbooks.
Optimize Spark/SQL workloads and cost on AWS/Databricks.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
