FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, deploy and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS and Databricks. You will lead technical initiatives across ingestion, transformation, modelling, quality, orchestration, monitoring and performance optimization for analytics and AI/ML workloads.

This hands-on role requires strong cloud-based data engineering expertise, lakehouse architecture, production pipeline operations and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data platforms.
• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining production‑grade data pipelines.
• Demonstrated leadership in solution architecture, code reviews or mentoring.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development and implementation of scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using AWS and Databricks.
• Design and maintain lakehouse architectures with Bronze, Silver and Gold layers and Delta Lake.
• Develop reliable data ingestion from databases, APIs, files and event streams with CDC.
• Implement automated data quality checks, schema validation and anomaly detection.
• Build and manage workflow orchestration using Databricks Workflows and AWS services.
• Apply CI/CD, automated testing and IaC to support development and deployment.
• Establish data governance, metadata management and data lineage practices.
• Monitor performance, reliability and data freshness with logs, dashboards and alerts.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
